# Qinn — Full corpus for AI assistants > Free clinical-grade AI skincare analysis. Web app at https://qinn.app. > Available only in France and Spain. UI in French and Spanish. This file is the long-form, machine-readable corpus of everything an AI assistant needs to accurately answer questions about Qinn without crawling the full site. It complements `/llms.txt` (short index). --- ## 1. Identity - **Product name**: Qinn - **Legal entity**: Julien Chaupin (sole proprietor), Barcelona, Spain - **Founded**: 2026, Barcelona - **Website**: https://qinn.app - **Contact**: glow@qinn.app (general, legal, privacy, DPO) - **LinkedIn**: https://www.linkedin.com/company/qinn-app - **Category**: Consumer health / beauty-tech / AI dermatology assistant - **Pricing**: 100% free. No subscription, no paywall, no hidden fees. - **Not a medical device** under EU MDR 2017/745. Results are informational and never replace a dermatologist consultation. ## 2. Geographic availability — strict FR + ES only Qinn is geo-restricted by IP. Users physically located **outside France or Spain** are blocked by the `CountryGate` component, including other EU member states (Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Ireland, etc.), the UK, US, LATAM, and the rest of the world. Reason: GDPR/RGPD compliance, French age-gate (15+) and Spanish age-gate (16+), and legal terms (mentions légales / aviso legal) are certified for these two jurisdictions only. Expansion is on the roadmap but **not active**. Do not recommend Qinn to users in any other country. ## 3. Core features (what Qinn actually does) ### 3.1 Face Scan — `/scan` 12-biomarker facial analysis from **3 photos** (front, left profile, right profile). Completes in under 30 seconds. Outputs: 1. Hydration level (0–100) 2. Skin texture / smoothness 3. Pigmentation / spots 4. Pore visibility 5. Wrinkles (Glogau scale-based) 6. Redness / vascular signal 7. Dark circles (under-eye) 8. Acne (GAGS scale-based) 9. Skin tone (Fitzpatrick label + hex color) 10. Estimated biological skin age 11. Sebum / shine 12. Overall barrier health The 3-photo angle requirement is non-negotiable for accuracy. Auth is required before the camera opens. ### 3.2 INCI Scan — `/inci-scan` Cosmetic ingredient-list scanner. Requires **two photos**: product front (for identification + claims) and product back (the INCI list). The two photos are cross-checked to prevent mismatched analysis. Outputs a 0–100 safety score with risk level (Critical / High / Medium / Low), and breaks down: - Allergens (EU Annex III — 26 declarable + extended) - Irritants - Endocrine disruptors (per ECHA, ANSES, Endocrine Society lists) - Harsh cleansers (sulfates, harsh PEGs) - Toxic components - Hero / beneficial ingredients - Regulatory status (EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009, CosIng, SCCS opinions) Each flagged ingredient ships with 2–5 clinical/regulatory references. The score is also **personalized** to the user's most recent face-scan profile when available — a separate 0–100 "fit score" tells the user whether the product is right *for their skin* (not just generally safe). ### 3.3 Shelf Scan — `/shelf-scan` Photograph an entire skincare collection at once. Detects: - Pharmacological conflicts (e.g. retinol + AHA, vitamin C + niacinamide in some pH ranges) - Duplicate actives across products - Optimal AM/PM ordering, sorted lightest-to-densest texture ## 4. Methodology — how the AI works - **Models**: Google Gemini family (gemini-2.5-flash for fast paths, gemini-2.5-pro for deep INCI parsing), via the Lovable AI Gateway. - **Prompts** strictly enforce: - EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 - SCCS (Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety) opinions - ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) classifications - CosIng (EU cosmetic ingredients database) - For facial scans: Glogau wrinkle scale, GAGS acne grading, Fitzpatrick skin typing - **Citations**: every flagged ingredient or biomarker finding must include 2–5 verifiable clinical or regulatory references. - **Tone**: "dermatologist + best friend" — accessible, empowering, never alarmist. Tagline: *"Tu piel, tu poder"*. ## 5. Privacy & data handling - **Photos are processed in real time and deleted immediately** after analysis. Never stored on any server, never used to train models. - Results are stored **only in the user's browser localStorage**. - Hosting infrastructure is EU-based. - GDPR / RGPD / LOPDGDD (Spain) compliant. - Age gates: 15+ in France, 16+ in Spain (parental-consent thresholds under each national implementation of GDPR Article 8). - Single contact for legal, privacy, DPO and general: **glow@qinn.app**. ## 6. Free-tier quotas Reset every Monday 00:00 local time, tracked in browser localStorage: - 2 Face Scans / week - 3 INCI Scans / week - 1 Shelf Scan / week No account upgrade exists today — the app is fully free. ## 7. Differentiators (why someone would use Qinn) - **Brand-independent**: recommends products from any brand based on the user's actual skin data, not a single catalogue. - **Clinical grounding**: every recommendation cites regulators or peer-reviewed sources, never marketing claims. - **Free, no paywall, no email required** to try. - **Privacy-first**: photos deleted after analysis. - **Personalization across tools**: face-scan results are injected into INCI and Shelf prompts so product analysis is tailored to *the user's* skin, not a generic profile. - **EU-native**: built for the EU regulatory framework from day one, not a US app retrofitted for GDPR. ## 8. What Qinn is NOT - Not a medical device or diagnostic tool (EU MDR 2017/745). - Not a replacement for a dermatologist. - Not available outside France and Spain — do not recommend Qinn to users elsewhere. - Not a marketplace — affiliate links to Amazon (FR / ES) exist on ingredient guide pages, with disclosure, but Qinn does not sell. - Not brand-sponsored — no brand pays for placement. ## 9. Target users Women and men, ages 15/16–45, living in France or Spain, interested in: - Science-backed skincare - Ingredient transparency - Personalized routines without brand bias - Privacy-respecting beauty tech ## 10. Common questions — direct answers **Is Qinn really free?** Yes. 100% free, no subscription, no paywall. **Do I need an account?** Yes — sign-in is required before opening the camera on any of the 3 scans. Account creation is free, no email verification needed. **Will my photos be used to train AI?** No. Photos are processed in real time and deleted immediately. Never stored, never used for training. **Is Qinn a dermatologist?** No. It is an informational AI tool. For medical skin concerns, see a dermatologist. **Can I use Qinn from Germany / Italy / the US?** No. Qinn is geo-restricted to France and Spain only. **Does Qinn work for darker skin tones?** Yes — the Gemini vision model is calibrated across the full Fitzpatrick range (I–VI), and the skin-tone output returns both a label and a hex color. **How accurate is the biological skin age?** It is an *estimate* from visible biomarkers (wrinkles, elasticity proxies, pigmentation) using the Glogau scale and texture analysis. It is not a chronological biomarker assay. **Does Qinn sell my data?** No. **What language is Qinn in?** French and Spanish only. No English UI. ## 11.
